Netbook Reflection 2013..!

This year, the special things I have learned from the netbook was the maths like GCF and LCM that the teacher put up on the class site and my reading, writing and maths has improved a bit  Having a netbook helped me to succeed in my learning. I have learned new strategies and how to blog a presentation slideshow. And, I have learned to  create and share my work to the blog. I have helped many students in my class and ask them if they would like help with their work. I use managing self to succeed in all my work and I also write stories online and read stories. Also I go on to Math Whizz to learn new math strategies. I have been using a netbook that has been connected to internet to do my work. It is so helpful that I have used it to learn things in a variety of ways. I have used my netbook to learn my basic facts from Math Whizz, used templates to improve my writing that is on the class site, and to do research about important things. I reckon that it is better to use a netbook to work rather than using pencil and paper, because it is faster and people from around the world can put comments to give me advice.

National Anthem..!

E ihowa atua,
O nga iwi matou ra,
Ata whakarongo na,
Me aroha noa,
Kia hou a ko te pai,
Kia tau to atawhai,
Manaakitia mai,
Aotearoa.

God of nations at thy feet,
In the bonds of love we meet,
Hear our voices, we entreat,
God defend our free land,
Guard pacific’s triple stars,
From the shafts of strife and war,
Make her praises heard afar,

God defend New Zealand.

Then my sister would called me to help her to straighten her hair and she would asked me if she should go wash her hair and I yelled at her “GO WASH YOUR HAIR” and she just kept on ask
ing me if she would go wash her hair and I said then when she came back from washing her hair and then I asked her Do you want me to straighten your hair now? she said no you have to wait until my hair is dry.

After that my dad would come back and he would tell us to get into the van and he would drive us to the shopping and when we get to the centre and he would ask us what we would like to eat and then we would go to pak'n'save to do the shopping list next we would go put some fuel into the van and we came back home and take all of the shopping and we put them in the cupboard.

Later when we finish the packing the shopping away then we fry pan some sausages and had that to eat with the hot chips and before we eat we had to wash our hands and pray for the food. Next my dad would be in the kitchen making his own food because he doesn’t like hot chips with sausages and we would all be eating in the kitchen while watching t.v.

As Mia walked up to room it started raining and when Mia got to the door of her room it had stop raining and had stop lightning and thunder. Mia was SO scared that she had ran into her bed and she hid under her blanket and she blocked her ears so that she couldn't hear anything. Then Mia screamed and she got out of bed and she hid under the table.

After when the thunder and lightning stopped Mia ran to her brother Andrew’s room and she woke him up to go with her to the lounge and watch some TV and she goes and makes them a cup of Milo, you put the TV on for us and chose a cool channel that is not scary because Mia just finished having a bad scary night.

Then someone came and stood at the door and she heard a knock Mia called out who is at the door? Mia yelled out they never said anything, but when she went to answer the door no one was there. Perimeter of 2D shapes

WALT find the Perimeter of 2D shapes

Formulae:

Perimeter of a Square = side + side + side + side or 4 x side
Example: The perimeter of a square of side  5cm = 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 cm or 4 x 5 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following squares:

The perimeter of a square of side  10cm = 4 x 10= 40cm
The perimeter of a square of side  25cm = 4 x 10= 100cm
The perimeter of a square of side  5m = 4 x 10= 20m
The perimeter of a square of side  50m = 4 x 10= 200m
The perimeter of a square of side  1km = 4 x 1= 4km

Perimeter of a Rectangle = length + width + length + width or 2 x l + 2 x w
Example: The perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 6cm and width is 4cm = 6 + 4 + 6 + 4 = 20 cm or 2 x 6 + 2 x 4= 12 + 8 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following rectangles whose lengths and widths are given below:
Rectangle 1 - length is 8cm and width is 5cm
Perimeter = 26cm

Rectangle 2 - length is 10cm and width is 7cm
Perimeter = 34cm

Rectangle 3 - length is 8m and width is 6m
Perimeter = 28m

Rectangle 4 - length is 16m and width is 10m
Perimeter = 52m

Rectangle 5 - length is 4km and width is 2km
Perimeter = 12km

Evaluation: Today I learnt to find the perimeter of 2D shapes.

Some of the student there cheering and shouting for the teammate to get a goal. As we ran to the cone we have to step the person then run to the center then that person passes the ball then we pass the ball to the goal shooter.
